A Pattern We Must Follow

The Bible has Absolute Authority concerning how we ought to live, not man, not organizations, nor traditions. Though Jesus has clearly given us a pattern that we must follow, Christendom has taken a detour, a left turn to the land of compromise, to arrive at watering down the word of God. When the smoke has cleared, when we take such a detour, what we are doing is simply lying. A lie is an untruth. It empowers the ones telling the lie, and deceives those who believe the lie.

In Matthew 16:6, Jesus uses the word leaven to refer to the flawed doctrine of the Pharisees and the Sadducees. He described it as "Leaven" also known as yeast. Yeast is an ingredient that is added to dough to make it rise. Even in its smallest dosage yeast or leaven has a tremendous affect on dough. In the case of those who compromise God's word, (Teach false doctrine), as did the Pharisees and the Sadducees, the smallest of lies and untruths can and will have an affect on what one believes. This is important because people tend to believe what they hear and it is the beliefs of people that will determine their walk with Jesus. This is why those whom God has entrusted with His word must follow the pattern in which God has left us and not our own. If one's foundation is flawed, his or her works will be also.

There you go again, speaking the truth. You better be careful, someone might actually hear you. This could result in a person increasing their understanding while at the same time decreasing the contents of the collection among those misguiding the sheep.

Keep moving on!!!
